Molly Martin received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing at Missouri State University. Her work has been exhibited at Marshall University in Huntington, WV in the Surface Design Exhibition Future Tense 2021, featuring up and coming student textile artists from around the world. Her work pushes the boundaries of what drawing can be through weaving with yarn, representing herself, objects, and space figuratively. She’s drawn to material’s haptic power: the way it can evoke certain emotions and memories through its tactile nature. Currently, Molly is pursuing her Master of Fine Arts in Drawing at the University of Arkansas.
Anna GUillory / MFA 2026
Anna Guillory received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education from Texas Christian University. Anna has been included in many juried and group exhibitions in North Texas and taught high school art for three and half years. Her practice engages concepts of time, living in ambiguity, and the meaning making potentials found in the materiality of drawing. She is interested in incorporating more ephemeral materials and participatory possibilities into her work, while pursuing her Master of Fine Arts in Drawing at the University of Arkansas.

Nick Hobbs / MFA 2023
Nick Hobbs was born in Louisiana and is currently an M.F.A. candidate at the University of Arkansas. Recently, he's been making graphite drawings and animations. He also spends a lot of time looking at the sky, and it influences everything he does.
These drawings are snapshots (fragments, evidence) of an attempt to reconcile two scales. First, the scale of the everyday, the earthly, the personal, and the human. That which is familiar and specific to personal experience, especially those qualities that are most taken for granted. Second, the scale of deep time and the cosmological. That which exists, all or in part, beyond the boundaries of intuition. I understand these scales to be irreconcilable, making this practice ultimately futile from the perspective of arriving at a definite conclusion. Instead, I approach it as an archaeologist, inferring what I can from the in-situ artifacts of culture, experience, memory, intimacy, and history. This fossil record is incomplete and often misleading, but a great deal of knowledge can be extrapolated from such sparse evidence.

CHRIS SCHULTZ / MFA 2021
Christian (Chris) Schultz (b. 1994) received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from The University of Central Oklahoma in 2018 and his Master of Fine Arts from The University of Arkansas in 2021. Owen Buffington / MFA 2017
Owen earned an MFA, with an emphasis in drawing, from the University of Arkansas in 2017, and has taught art at universities, community art non-profits, juvenile detention facilities, and public schools. He currently teaches at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith and lives in Fayetteville, AR. Owen is a mixed-media artist whose work explores the intersection of geography and the visual arts—in particular the role drawing plays in shaping how we describe, define and organize everyday spaces. Drawing from the visual language of maps, blueprints, plans and diagrams, he creates a personal geography of the places around him that privileges the messiness of lived experience over the tidiness of idealized space. His current fascinations include workplaces, nocturnal landscapes, and haunted houses.
